This policy explains what Fuel Fridge needs, why it needs it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Fuel Fridge web app and related services.

Who is responsible for your information?
Fuel Fridge is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to support@fuelfridge.com.
1. Information we collect
Account information
Your name, email address, authentication details, account identifier, subscription status, and profile preferences. Passwords are handled by Supabase Authentication; Fuel Fridge does not store a readable copy.
Content you provide
Fridge photos, detected and confirmed ingredients, generated recipes, saved recipes, scan history, recipe history, and information you send when contacting support.
Billing information
Stripe provides us with payment and subscription identifiers, plan status, renewal or cancellation status, and limited customer details. Full card numbers are collected and handled by Stripe, not Fuel Fridge.
Technical and usage information
Security and operational records may include IP address, device or browser information, timestamps, authentication activity, request failures, and scan usage needed to enforce plan limits and prevent abuse.
2. How we use information
- create and secure your account;
- upload and analyze fridge photos;
- generate, display, save, and recover recipes and history;
- manage subscriptions, payments, billing access, and scan limits;
- respond to support and privacy requests;
- detect abuse, troubleshoot errors, and improve reliability; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information and do not use fridge photos for advertising.
3. AI processing
When you request a scan, the relevant fridge image is securely read from private storage and sent through a protected Supabase Edge Function to OpenAI for ingredient detection. When you request recipes, the confirmed ingredient list and recipe instructions are sent for recipe generation.
OpenAI states that data sent through its API is not used to train its models by default. Provider security and abuse-monitoring retention may still apply. See OpenAI's business data commitments.
Please avoid placing sensitive medical information or unrelated personal documents in a fridge photo. Recipes and nutrition figures are AI-generated estimates, not medical or dietary advice.
5. Retention and deletion
Account content is generally kept while your account remains active so you can access scans, recipes, and saved items. Operational and billing records may be retained for a limited period where needed for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting, or law.
You can delete your account from the Profile screen. This starts deletion of your Fuel Fridge profile, private images, scans, ingredients, recipes, saved recipes, and authentication account. Limited records may remain temporarily in encrypted backups, provider logs, or records a payment provider must retain by law.
6. Security
Fuel Fridge uses protected authentication, private image storage, per-user database access rules, server-side secrets, signed payment webhooks, and encrypted network connections. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so use a unique password and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.
Service providers may process data in countries other than yours. We rely on provider safeguards and applicable transfer mechanisms where cross-border protections are required.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on it. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Use Profile for common account changes or email support@fuelfridge.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
9. Children
Fuel Fridge is not directed to children under 13. Where local law requires a higher age to consent to online services, a parent or legal guardian must provide any required permission. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information improperly.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the product, providers, or legal requirements change. Material updates will be highlighted in the app or on this page, and the date above will be revised.
